Olga Salvatore
Biography

Eight years ago I relocated from California to Hawaii and began studying jazz and bossa nova. I had the privilege of collaborating with Greg Shirley, an awesome seven string guitarist, on jazz arrangements.

I have entertained at many special events, in all the major hotels in North Kohala's Kona coast. My most recent CD, "O"...Born Cool, was nominated for Hawaii's 2005 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards for best vocalist in the Jazz category.

My vocal training has a classical and opera base, and with my deep, sultry vocal tone, I have a great voice for jazz and Latin music. I have the ability to perform either as a headliner, or as a background singer during dinner and cocktails.

I can offer you any combination, from duet to seven piece band. I work with professional and versatile musicians, and together we can definitely satisfy your entertainment needs.

In addition to jazz, the Olga Salvatore Jazz Band also performs blues, R&B, and bossa nova. My salsa band, Manzanero (ww.manzaneroinhawaii.com), performs primarily Latin dance music such as salsa, cumbia, cha cha cha, bolero, rumba, mariachi and more.

I can also provide sound and lighting.
